Healing Beyond the Pain: Endometriosis Therapy

For over fifteen years, I lived with the invisible, exhausting reality of what I would later learn was endometriosis and adenomyosis. Like most women, I spent that time navigating a confusing healthcare system, frequently dismissed by providers who told me to take birth control or "just get pregnant," or who attributed my suffering to stress. Some even led me to believe that the pain was simply a normal part of being a woman. It wasn't until my surgery in February 2026 that I finally received an accurate diagnosis and the validation I had been denied for years.

I intimately understand the exhaustion, grief, and quiet trauma that come with living through misdiagnosis and delayed care. The suffering is never just physical. Chronic pain touches every part of existence. It ripples out into your mental health, your relationships, your social life, your levels of intimacy, and your spirit.

Statistically, it’s often said that 1 in 10 women have endometriosis, though some progressive gynecologists believe the reality is closer to 1 in 5. And behind those massive numbers are women navigating a complex, often lonely medical journey. Endometriosis is a full-body, full-life experience that no one should have to navigate alone.

If you've been told that your symptoms are normal, or that it's all in your head, please remember: Your physical health matters. Your mental health matters. Your pain is real. You are the most important person in your world, so never stop advocating for yourself! I’m here to support you in the therapeutic journey.

P.S. I’m offering a free, peer support group every two weeks. Check out the groups page for more information.
